SaveMyPlate lets you remove your personal data from our systems. This policy explains what is deleted when you close your account, what we're required to keep, and how long the process takes. It applies to both the customer and store apps.
1. What gets deleted
- Account details — your name, mobile number, and login identifiers.
- Profile data — saved favourites, notification preferences, and your chosen locations.
- Store data — for store accounts, your store profile, listings, menu and photos.
- Impact history — your personal tally of bags rescued, money saved and CO₂ prevented.
2. What we keep, and why
Some records must be retained even after your account is deleted, so we anonymise them (unlinking them from you) or hold them for a limited period:
- Transaction & payment records — kept in anonymised form for tax, accounting and legal obligations.
- Order & pickup logs — retained where needed to resolve disputes or refunds already in progress.
- Fraud & abuse signals — a minimal record may be kept to prevent repeated misuse of the service.
3. Timeline
- Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days of confirmation.
- Data held in routine backups is removed on the normal backup rotation, within 90 days.
- Anonymised records that carry no personal identifiers may be retained indefinitely.
4. How to request deletion
You can request deletion in two ways — in-app, or by email. See the Delete Account page for the step-by-step instructions. Requests can also be sent to support@savemyplate.example from your registered address.
