By using SaveMyPlate you agree to these terms. SaveMyPlate is a marketplace that connects customers with stores selling their surplus food as discounted Surprise Bags.
1. Surprise Bags
- A Surprise Bag is a selection of a store's unsold food — the exact contents are not chosen by you and may vary.
- The listing shows the store, an indicative “what's inside” note, the price, the original value, and the pickup window.
- Availability is limited; bags are first-come, first-served.
2. Reserving & paying
- You reserve and pay for a bag in the app and receive a 4-digit pickup code.
- Collect during the store's pickup window. Only the store can complete the handoff by validating your code.
- If you don't collect within the window, the reservation may expire.
3. Cancellations & refunds
You can cancel a reservation before pickup for a refund. Stores and admins may also cancel or refund an order (for example, if a store runs out), with the reason noted.
4. Stores
- Stores register and go live only after admin approval, and are responsible for the food they list and for honest, safe handling.
- The platform charges a commission per bag sold; stores receive their payout on the order value.
5. Coupons
Coupons reduce the order total. A coupon's cost is borne by whoever created it — a store-funded coupon by the store, a platform coupon by SaveMyPlate.
6. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service, abuse codes, or attempt to defraud stores or other users. Accounts may be blocked for abuse.
